Access Allround was contacted by a homeowner who required a safer and more practical access solution at their property. The existing step at the doorway presented a hazard and did not provide suitable support for safe entry and exit, creating the need for a compliant and secure alternative.
Scope of Work
The project involved the removal of the unsafe existing step, followed by the supply and installation of a new modular platform. To further enhance safety, handrails were to be installed at the platform opening to ensure secure access on and off the platform.
Installation
Step Removal
The existing step was carefully removed from the doorway, eliminating the immediate safety risk and preparing the area for the new installation.
Platform Installation
Ground works were prepared and a new modular platform was supplied and installed, creating a stable and level access point at the entrance to the property.
Handrail Installation
Handrails were fitted at the opening of the platform to provide additional support and ensure a safe entrance and exit for the user.
