Heavy-Duty Excellent Systems Threshold Ramp Installation with High-Grip Safety Features
Access Allround was commissioned by Alcatel Submarine Networks to supply and install an Excellent Systems threshold ramp capable of withstanding extremely heavy loads while ensuring safety, durability, and operational flexibility. The ramp needed to accommodate trolleys weighing over 1,200 kg, provide a slip-resistant surface, and be easy to handle and store when not in use.
Scope of Work
Excellent Systems Threshold Ramp
A custom-built threshold ramp system from Excellent Systems, split into two sections with approximately 800mm removable section for easy storage when not in use.
Industrial Tile Upgrade
Standard ramp tiles were replaced with industrial-grade tiles to handle significant weight from high-load trolleys used on-site.
Suregrip Non-Slip Finish
A Suregrip surface layer was added to enhance traction and safety under all conditions.
Heavy-Duty Resin Anchoring
The ramp was securely bonded to the chamber base using high-strength resin to ensure zero movement during use.
Manual Handling Support
Integrated side handles were installed to facilitate safe lifting and handling of the removable ramp section.

- MAC & RAM Assessments – Comprehensive Manual Handling Assessment (MAC) and Risk Assessment & Method Statement (RAMS) were conducted pre-installation to ensure compliance and safety.
